We collect information you give us directly: your name and phone number (required for account creation). We also store data you choose to add: tasks, bills and payment info, appointments, contacts, shopping lists, notes, email connections, and family member profiles.
HomeGenie uses your data solely to provide the service: to power the AI chat assistant, manage your personal tasks and bills, send SMS authentication codes, check traffic and weather, and make AI-powered phone calls on your behalf (bill negotiation). We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or train AI models on it. Your data stays tied to your account only.
HomeGenie uses two AI models: Claude Haiku (Anthropic) for chat commands and daily assistant tasks, and Claude Sonnet for bill negotiation calls. Both process your data in real time to execute your requests. Anthropic does not train on your data. For voice calls, Vapi routes the AI conversation to your service provider — calls may be recorded for quality assurance. You can review their policies at anthropic.com/privacy and vapi.ai/privacy.
When you use the AI Call feature (Premium tier), HomeGenie makes a phone call to your service provider using Vapi. The AI (Claude Sonnet) negotiates on your behalf. The call may be recorded for quality and dispute resolution. Your phone number and account details are only used for the specific call you authorize.
Bill information (provider names, amounts, account numbers) you enter is stored locally to your account only. This data is never shared with other users or third parties. It is used only to provide the bill tracking and negotiation features you request.
Data is stored encrypted at rest in PostgreSQL (Neon on Vercel). Communications are encrypted in transit via TLS. We retain your data while your account is active. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days.
You can request access to, correction of, or full deletion of your personal data at any time. To request full account deletion, email us — we will delete your data within 30 days.
HomeGenie relies on: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Anthropic (AI), Vapi (voice calling), Textbelt (SMS). Each has its own privacy policy.
